The Arts
Programs in The Arts enable youth to develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts, crafts, performing arts and creative writing.

Dance (Ballet, Modern, Jazz, West African, and Hip Hop)

  • For Ages 6‐18; yearlong and on‐going
  • Weekly classes in a variety of styles taught by professional artists from Akriky Lolo, Dance St. Louis, and more.

Musical Theatre with Stages St. Louis

  • Artists from STAGES St. Louis teach kids the basics of the performing arts through song, character, plot and more. Each class culminates with public performances in the community.

Music! Words! Opera!

  • Learn to sing, act and even write your own opera in this collaboration with teaching artists from Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.

Image Makers Photography

  • For Ages 6‐18; yearlong
  • Create your own works of art! Paint, draw, color and sculpt about themes like ancient Egypt, the
  • solar system, and holidays during afterschool and summer classes.

National Fine Arts Exhibit Program

This year-round program encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6-18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture while providing opportunities for members to create artwork for display in a local exhibit.

DramaMatters Afterschool

• A drama education program for Clubs designed to raise awareness about the benefits of drama education.

MusicMakers

• MusicMakers, a music education program resource for Clubs.
