Women’s Leadership Circle Snaps

This week we’re giving snaps to Women’s Leadership Circle (WLC) member Jill Krogen.  Jill grew up in southern California and has lived in St. Louis for the past nine years.

Occupation:       Product marketing, project management, stay-at-home mom

Favorite Children’s Book:   Charlotte’s Web

Favorite Snack:                     Popcorn

Pets:                                       Addison, mini piebald dachshund

Advice to yourself:               Talk less, listen more

What do you want women to know about the WLC?

The women who make up our organization are fun, kind, and come from many different walks of life. Our shared goal of supporting the Club, and specifically nurturing teen girls, gives us a unique energy and bond.

What is your favorite event, or memory from a WLC event?

I love our Holiday Sip & Shop because it’s a great way to support the Club, make new friends and get some holiday shopping done. It was one of the only things I did in person last year and I had the privilege of meeting our Youth of the Year, Lailah, so it had extra meaning.

Why do you support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis?

There are a lot of reasons, but the thing that stands out to me is how our mentors help kids find their passion and voice. In doing this, they learn to advocate for themselves, identify the things they care about and grow into community leaders.
