January 2015 – Eagle of the Month
Taijah R., age 14, has been a member of club for three years. She is active in SMART Girls, SMART Moves, Money Matters, Diploma to Degrees, Power Hour, homework assistance and she has been helping with instructing myFuture.net. She has also stepped up to join Speak Up T-shirt Company in the finance department. Taijah enjoys all program areas. She was selected by several staff for Eagle of the Month because of her progress in behavior and advancement in participation for all programs she’s apart of. One evening Taijah reported to Club Tech and was not very enthused about repeating the same curriculum that she is quite familiar with. She addressed staff and asked if she could present the lesson to members. Staff was not objective to her offer and Taijah successfully presented new material from MyFuture.net.
