The St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP) is excited to host its Annual Etiquette Luncheon at the Westin Hotel in downtown St. Louis at noon. More than 100 SLIP interns will have the opportunity to connect with business professionals while applying the lessons learned from their ten-week intensive employment training sessions. SLIP’s mission is to provide hope and opportunity for high school students in the St. Louis region through paid summer internships.
WHAT: SLIP’s etiquette luncheon is designed to prepare students for their summer internship experiences. The event will include training sessions, development workshops, and luncheons. An etiquette facilitator will host each table, guiding students as they prepare for professional conversations. This experience teaches important skills in dining, social interactions, and professional etiquette.

WHO: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis operates the St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP), which has become the leader in workforce readiness for high school students in the area.
President and CEO Brandon Williams, along with SLIP’s Executive Director of Career and Workforce Readiness, Shanise Johnson, are available for onsite interviews. This year, 130 students will begin their summer internships on Monday. SLIP helps students become ready to be productive employees and creates a pipeline of talent for employers.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. BGCSTL provides after-school, teen, sports, and summer programs to youth across the Bi-State Region while also providing a safe place for them to learn and grow. The Clubs serve youth across the region at twelve locations, including (Adams Park Club, Bethalto Club, Hazelwood Elementary School Club, Herbert Hoover Club, Mathews-Dickey Club, and the Teen Center of Excellence). We also operate Mentor St. Louis and the St. Louis Internship Program.
