Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is proud to announce a $25,000 donation from St. Louis native Kyren Williams, Pro Bowl running back and captain for the Los Angeles Rams.

For the second consecutive year, Williams was selected as the Rams club winner for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.  The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award is the league’s most prestigious honor, recognizing players who excel on the field and demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact beyond the game. As part of the recognition, Williams was allowed to select a non-profit to receive $25,000 in funding from the NFL Foundation.

Williams personally selected Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis to receive the gift. His donation will support more than 18 youth development programs, benefiting children and teens across the region.

“We are incredibly grateful for Kyren’s generosity and continued support,” said President and CEO of BGCSTL, Brandon Williams. “His journey is inspiring, and his investment helps us continue our mission of inspiring and enabling all youth to reach their full potential.”

Williams, who was selected by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, emphasized the importance of giving back to the community that raised him.

“The opportunities I’ve been given through being a professional football player allow me to perform on the field but have also given me the platform to pursue what I am most passionate about, giving back to the community,” said Williams. “Being able to make a positive impact on youth means everything to me and I’m honored to be able to make this donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis to help them provide opportunities to youth in my hometown of St. Louis.”

BGCSTL President and CEO Brandon Williams added, “We look forward to the possibility of having Kyren visit the Club during the NFL offseason to connect with members and encourage them to pursue their dreams.”
