In celebration of 314 Day, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is inviting the public to show their support for local youth by making a donation to help expand programs that empower young people across the region.

In a special video released for the occasion, Club members share what being part of the Boys & Girls Clubs means to them and why their connection to St. Louis runs deep. The video highlights the voices of youth who benefit from the organization’s programs.

“314 Day is a celebration of everything that makes St. Louis special — its people, its neighborhoods and its commitment to lifting up the next generation,” said Brandon Williams, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis. “Our Club members are the future leaders of this community, and the world.  We invite everyone to join us in supporting their success.”

Observed each year on March 14, 314 Day recognizes the St. Louis area code and celebrates the city’s culture, pride and community connections.

A true testament to the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is the fact that the creator of 314 Day is a Herbert Hoover Club Alum affectionately called, Young Dip!  He is #hooverbred!

For Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, the day also serves as an opportunity to highlight the importance of investing in youth and ensuring every child has access to safe, supportive environments where they can learn and grow.

Through its after-school, summer and teen programs, BGCSTL provides young people with academic support, mentorship, character development and opportunities to build confidence and leadership skills. These programs are designed to inspire youth to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Community members are encouraged to celebrate 314 Day by making a gift to support these life-changing opportunities for youth across the St. Louis region.
