Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Development to join our executive leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this key leadership role will oversee a comprehensive fundraising program designed to expand philanthropic support, strengthen donor relationships and advance the organization’s mission of helping young people realize their full potential.
What You’ll Do
As Vice President of Development, you will:
- Lead BGCSTL’s comprehensive, year-round fundraising strategy in support of organizational priorities.
- Build, cultivate and strengthened relationships with major donors, corporate partners, foundations and community leaders while expanding philanthropic support and deepening donor engagement.
- Strengthen fundraising operations by enhancing systems, performance metrics, and the strategic use of CRM and donor data.
- Coach and develop a high-performing resource development team while fostering collaboration across leadership, programs, marketing and operations.
- Partner with the President & CEO, executive leadership and Board of Directors to build a culture of philanthropy and strengthen board engagement in fundraising.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis throughout the philanthropic and business communities.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an accomplished fundraising leader with:
- A proven track record of securing major gifts and leading comprehensive fundraising programs.
- Experience building fundraising systems, processes, and accountability while maintaining strong donor relationships.
- An authentic, collaborative leadership style and proven ability to coach, mentor and develop talented teams.
- A strategic, data-informed approach combined with the willingness to be hands-on when needed.
- Executive presence, sound judgment and the ability to serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, the Board and leadership team.
- Passion for the mission and a commitment to expanding opportunities for young people throughout the St. Louis region.
