BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER ST. LOUIS ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

St. Louis, MO, March 11, 2016 – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis welcomes new board members John S. Farmer, Thompson Coburn, Howard Richards, University of Missouri, David Quellor, Express Scripts and Bill White, Commerce Bank.

John S. Farmer is a partner at Thompson Coburn where his practice emphasis has been primarily in admiralty and maritime litigation as well as product liability and toxic tort litigation. He has represented defendants in Jones Act cases, collision cases, limitation of liability cases, cargo disputes, vessel seizures, marine insurance matters, government agency matters as well as asbestos and benzene
cases.

Howard Richards currently serves as the Senior Manager External Relations, College of Arts & Science at the University of Missouri. Prior to that, he served as the Executive Director of Institutional Security and Development at Harris-Stowe State University. Howard serves as the President of SevenZero, Ltd., and also acts as the Color Analyst for the Missouri Tigers Football Team. Howard is a Boys & Girls Club alum and former NFL player.

Bill White has been in Commercial Banking for 35 years of which 15 were with Boatmen’s now Bank of America, 5 with First Banks and 16 with Commerce Bank, where he now runs the Commercial Market for Large Corporate C&I.

David Quellor is a Senior Vice President at Express Scripts. David joined Express Scripts in 2014 as senior vice president, Sales & Account Management. Prior to coming aboard, he served as president of Aetna’s National Accounts segment. Dave has held previous health plan leadership roles with Aetna’s Southeast Region, Aetna National Accounts, Aetna Global Benefits, ChannelPoint, Prudential Health Care, and CIGNA HealthCare.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is to inspire and enable youth ages 6 to 18 to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. For nearly 50 years, BGCSTL has been providing after-school, teen, sports and summer programs to youth in the St. Louis area while also providing a safe place for them to learn and grow. The Clubs now serve St. Louis youth at six locations (Adams Park Club, Ferguson Middle School Club, Herbert Hoover Club, O’Fallon Park Club, Hazelwood Southeast Middle School Club and Twillman Elementary School Club) and within several other schools (including Normandy High School and Roosevelt High School) and through our Mentor St. Louis Program. We are also a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
