Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) proudly announces the winner of the 2025 Jr. Youth of the Year (JRYOY) award: 13-year-old Camryn W., a member of the BGC Adams Park Club.

The Jr. Youth of the Year program develops leadership skills in young members aged 10 to 13 within the club environment. Camryn is actively involved in numerous Club programs at Adams Park and has an excellent attendance record. This marks Camryn’s second consecutive year receiving the title of Jr. Youth of the Year.

A panel of judges evaluate each candidate based on their essay, interview, and speech. The judging panel included: – Larry Young, Head Softball Coach at Harris-Stowe State University, and Arianna Blakemore, Founder of Ancient Healing Root, Holistic Health Coach, Herbalist, and Farmer.

“Congratulations to Camryn for achieving the Jr. Youth of the Year title for the second year.  She is consistently stepping out of her comfort zone and demonstrating the courage to develop her leadership, writing, and public speaking skills. We are proud of her,” said BGCSTL President/CEO Brandon Williams.

Camryn will represent BGCSTL in the state competition in Jefferson City, Missouri, next month.
