Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis will take its mission to the microphone with the launch of “Success SZN,” a new podcast featuring candid conversations about success, sacrifice and the experiences that shape great futures.
Hosted by BGCSTL President and CEO Brandon Williams and Vice President of Marketing and Communications Deneen Busby, “Success SZN” goes beyond accomplishments to explore the journeys behind them. Guests share personal stories about finding their voice, pursuing their passions, overcoming challenges and defining success on their own terms.
The podcast will feature former BGCSTL Club members, community leaders and other notable guests, including Khalia Collier, Shorty Da Prince, and Craig Mitchell. While their journeys are different, many share a common connection — pride in being a Club Kid and the role Boys & Girls Clubs played in helping them discover what was possible.
“For many young people, the Club is where they begin to see a bigger future for themselves,” Williams said. “It gives them a place to find their voice, discover their passion and realize what they are capable of achieving. Success SZN gives us an opportunity to share those stories while inspiring the next generation to believe in their own possibilities.”
The podcast is especially meaningful for Williams, a former Club Kid who went on to play in the NFL and now leads the organization that helped shape his future.
“Leading the organization that helped me become who I am today is a full-circle experience,” Williams said. “I want young people to see and hear from people who once sat where they sit and understand that their dreams are possible, too.”
Current Club members will also have a voice on “Success SZN,” with young people participating in interviews and conversations alongside the hosts and guests.
Through the podcast, BGCSTL hopes to introduce more families and community members to the opportunities available through its Clubs and inspire listeners to take action — whether by enrolling a young person, volunteering, mentoring or investing in the organization’s mission.
“Success SZN” will feature new conversations with Club alumni and other guests throughout the season.
