Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is proud to celebrate Club alumnus and emerging musical artist El-Train for receiving a prestigious SPARKLE Scholarship from Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
This fall, El-Train will attend Lindenwood University, where he will continue pursuing his education while advancing his passion for music.
The $3,200 annual SPARKLE Scholarship is made possible through the generous support of Deborah and Larry Bridges. The scholarship helps offset essential college expenses, including food, clothing and other necessities, allowing recipients to focus on their academic and career goals.
El-Train developed his musical talents through the BGCSTL Music Studio, powered by the Best Buy Teen Tech Center and Creative Consultants. During his time at the Club, he performed at local and national Boys & Girls Clubs of America events, sharing original music and representing the organization on some of its largest stages.
“El-Train’s dedication, creativity and perseverance exemplify the potential we strive to cultivate in every young person we serve,” said Brandon Williams, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis. “We are incredibly proud of his accomplishments and look forward to seeing all he achieves at Lindenwood University and beyond.”
The SPARKLE Scholarship recognizes outstanding Boys & Girls Club members who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and a commitment to their future. It is one of many opportunities available through Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help young people pursue higher education and career success.
