ST. LOUIS, MO (September 20, 2024) – Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is thrilled to announce the recent induction of our President, Dr. Flint Fowler, into the prestigious Missouri Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame. This momentous occasion occurred at the Missouri Area Council Annual Meeting & Conference Dinner at Ameristar Spa & Casino, marking a significant milestone in Dr. Fowler’s illustrious career.

Boys & Girls Clubs (BGC) Missouri Area Council Conference held September 16-18 brings together BGC professionals and Board Members from across the state. The conference is a platform for participants to engage in workshops and training sessions, fostering professional development and collaboration. The highlight of the conference is the Hall of Fame dinner, where outstanding individuals like Dr. Fowler are honored for their contributions to the organization.

Dr. Fowler’s induction into the Missouri Boys & Girls Clubs Hall of Fame is a testament to his nearly 30 years of leadership, outstanding service to youth development, and the remarkable growth of the Boys & Girls Clubs. His commitment has profoundly impacted the community and the Boys & Girls Club Movement.  BGCSTL Board Vice-Chairman Dave Aplington said, “The Hall of Fame honor is a testament to Flint’s impact on the Club, his commitment to young people and his staff, and the community.”  When Dr. Fowler joined Boys & Girls Club, there was only one site, Herbert Hoover on North Grand.  As he prepares to retire at the end of the year, he can be proud of growing Boys & Girls Clubs from one site to eleven during his tenure.  This growth, from one site to eleven, is a testament to his vision and leadership, inspiring hope for the future of BGCSTL. BGCSTL touches over 12,000 area youth annually.

During his acceptance speech, Dr. Fowler said, “Working at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis has been rewarding.  I cannot imagine any other place I would have wanted to work.”

Missouri Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs served as the title sponsor of the Annual Missouri Area Council Conference.
