All That Jazz Goes Blues is a Huge Success
Blue Suede Shoes and dark shades were evident as 450 guest attended our annual auction gala All That Jazz. This year’s theme “All That Jazz Goes Blues” had an exciting and unique “down home blues” flair. The event was held on Saturday, November 10 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. Our Co-chairs Susan Block, Peggy Guest and Frank Hamsher, along with President Flint Fowler continue to offer their sincere thanks to all who attended, made donations and volunteered.
Guest had spectacular time bidding on a variety of special silent auction items and memorabilia. The real excitement was the live auction. This year’s auction featured some amazing items; tickets to see Beatles royalty Sir Paul McCarthy’s concert, a World Champion St. Louis Cardinals VIP Experience, an autographed guitar from the collection of St. Louis’ and Hall of Fame legend Chuck Berry, and the jersey of World Series MVP David Freese.
Combine the excitement of these outstanding auctions with a “southern style” dinner served just like it came from the bayous of the Mississippi Delta made for an outstanding event. The evening included dancing with live entertainment by Keith Robinson’s All Stars, and a special guest appearance by the Club’s own “Blues Brothers.”
Proceeds from All That Jazz supports the following youth focused programs of the Club; character & leadership development, education & career development and health & life skills. Specifically, these educational and cultural programs involve homework assistance, tutoring, computer classes, art & music. Since its inception, over $2 million has been raised through this event.
