THE ISSUE

It’s time to take a stand.

Across the nation and right here in the St. Louis area, kids and teens need additional resources and support to help them academically, socially and emotionally. Their hopes and aspirations must be a top priority. Read on to learn more about our plan to expand and focus our work on the kids and teens that need us most in North St. Louis County communities and schools. Join us as we put a stake in the ground in support of our kids.

A Letter from Campaign Leadership
Dear Friends,

We’re In because few issues are more important than building the next generation. Our children and teens want and deserve a bright future where opportunities and success are within their reach. If they are guided and given the tools necessary to become productive, responsible and caring citizens, they will positively impact our communities, our economy and our neighborhoods.

We’re In because the “A Place to Become” campaign will enable the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis to sustain three new school-based Clubs and build a state-of-the-art Teen Center in North County that will serve as a beacon of light for a community that has endured its share of negative reality. These efforts build on the work we’ve done in St. Louis for over 50 years. We’re In to help our children overcome barriers to success, helping them acquire the skills, abilities and knowledge needed to realize their full potential. We’re In and we are asking you to please join us!

Sincerely,

OUR VISION & PLAN

A Place to Become

Your opportunity to change lives and impact the future of our region is here! Our three-pronged plan ensures that we can make an immediate impact while establishing a long-term presence for generations of kids and teens in North County.

01

BUILD A NEW 25,000 SQUARE FOOT TEEN CENTER  $12.4M

With the power of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we will create the optimal learning environment for out-of-school-time programming.

Capital: $8,560,000
Four years operating costs: $3,840,000

02

SUSTAIN THREE NEW SCHOOL-BASED CLUB SITES  $6.9M

Three new sites at schools in North County strategically fill existing gaps in after-school options for elementary and middle-school aged kids.

03

FUND ENDOWMENT, SUSTAINING CAPITAL AND CAMPAIGN EXPENSES  $5.7M

We want to prepare all of our Clubs and the Teen Center for sustainable success, so we will create a fund for ongoing improvements to the physical structures plus operational needs.

We serve communities that need us most.

The new Clubs and dedicated Teen Center will be located in areas of greatest need, removing barriers to participation and helping provide equality and opportunity for all young people.
